The New Hope Food Pantry was established in 2020 to meet the increasing need for assistance within greater Jersey City area. Every Tuesday at 5:00 pm ET, volunteers distribute donated and purchased groceries directly to food insecure families. Food pantry donations include:
- Applesauce
- Beans
- Boxed Cereal
- Boxed Macaroni & Cheese
- Canned Pasta (e.g. Spaghetti-Os)
- Canned Soup
- Canned Stew or Chili
- Canned Tuna
- Canned Vegetables
- Crackers
- Fresh Fruit & Vegetables
- Jelly
- Meat & Poultry
- Oatmeal
- Peanut Butter
- Ramen Noodles
- Rice
Although some soup kitchens and food pantries require a form of identification or a referral letter from a social service agency, no documentation is required for the New Hope Food Pantry. All are welcome!
